The Nebraska Community Foundation serves 214 community, organizational and donor-advised affiliated funds in 230 communities located in 77 Nebraska counties. NCF and its affiliated funds have reinvested $138.6 million in Nebraska since 1993.
The Nebraska Community Foundation, headquartered in Lincoln, serves a network of affiliated fund leaders located throughout the state. NCF is governed by a board of directors who represent Nebraska’s diverse geographic interests. Several NCF board members are also leaders of their local affiliated funds.
The staff of the Nebraska Community Foundation includes professionals in finance, planned giving, community development, education and communications.
Kathy Thuman made a cash contribution of $50,000 to NCF’s Ford Foundation Challenge campaign, with a pledge of an additional $100,000 over two years.
“I really feel that the Nebraska Community Foundation’s endowment campaign is a great way to give to the whole state, and have some influence over the whole state, because we really are a single community. We’re a small population and we know each other,” Kathy said.
