The Nebraska Community Foundation serves 220 community, organizational and donor-advised affiliated funds in 238 communities located in 79 Nebraska counties. NCF and its affiliated funds have reinvested $138.6 million in Nebraska since 1993.

As NCF’s controller, Les handles monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, analysis of NCF’s financials and facilitating the year-end audit. He also assists NCF staff and affiliated fund leaders with fund agreements and any financial questions or requests. Les has more than 28 years experience in the accounting profession. Before joining NCF in 2008 he was with Centel Corporation and later with Metromail/Experian/MetroGroup Corp.
Les, a native of Nebraska City, enjoys being part of an organization involved in the process of revitalizing rural Nebraska communities. He values the opportunity to work with a team that has the heart and the passion for providing professional services to the rural communities, allowing the communities to focus on the really important aspects of their local community foundations.
Les and his wife, Terri, live in Lincoln. They have two adult children—a daughter, Casey, and a son, Brady.
Thanks in part to a grant from the Keith County Community Foundation Fund, the Keystone-Lemoyne Dive Rescue team was able to upgrade a trailer for dive rescue operations in the Lake McConaughy area. A grant that improves the quality of life for people of all ages.
