McCook
The McCook Community Foundation Fund has teamed up with McCook Community College to develop the Center for Applied Science and Technology (CAST) which provides training in welding and machine shop skills. CAST provides students the opportunity to develop technical job skills in the McCook facility and to remain in the area after graduation. Students learn safety; oxy-fuel, stick and gas metal arc welding; print reading; measurement and quality control.
Westleigh Miesner is a first-year welding student at McCook Community College.
