The Nebraska City Community Foundation Fund is growing an endowment that focuses on investing in the people of Nebraska City…our most important asset. We are raising funds for something other than the typical brick and mortar projects. We are “investing in people” by:

Supporting our entrepreneurs and small businesses
Involving our youth and young families
Developing our future leaders
Engaging our donors

The Nebraska City Community Foundation Fund (NCCFF) is an innovative organization. NCCFF has helped a number of adults return to school with scholarships granted to non-traditional students. Most of these scholarship winners have remained in Nebraska City earning higher wages after furthering their education. Additionally, the Nebraska City Community Foundation Fund has aided in providing health equipment for our community’s first responders; technology updates for our library; developing a community theater; creating and improving activities with our youth, such as baseball, softball and the skate park; and many other community-betterment projects.

The Nebraska City Community Foundation Fund serves as an incubator organization for other non-profit community betterment groups to become active and immediately start raising tax-deductible funds to support their cause.

Our grants foster a thriving, vibrant community that invites development and focuses on growing our own by investing in people. We always welcome progressive ideas for growing and improving Nebraska City. As an affiliated fund of the Nebraska Community Foundation, all contributions to the Nebraska City Community Foundation Fund are tax-deductible. The Nebraska Community Foundation is confirmed in compliance with the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations, and has met the nation’s highest philanthropic standards of operational quality, integrity and accountability.

	Arbor Dance Company To promote the Arbor Dance Company classes and annual performance.
	Baseball Association To support a summer baseball program for youth.
	Bethany Ann Wademan Good Scholarship Account To provide scholarships for individuals who wish to become beauticians.
	Chamber of Commerce To support educational and charitable needs in Nebraska City.
	Dog Park Account An account to raise funds for fencing and amenities for a new dog park located within the existing Wildwood City Park, which is owned and maintained by the City of Nebraska City, Nebraska.
	General An account used by the local Fund Advisory Committee to support and maintain the affiliated fund’s activities within the community.
	Kregel Windmill Museum Account An account to support the operations and mission of the Kregel Windmill Museum Company, a 501(c)(3) entity that owns a historic building at 1416 Central Ave. in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
	Leadership Nebraska City To support the development of engaged community leaders who can effectively work toward strengthening the community.
	Library Endowment A permanent endowment that provides funds to support the Morton-James Public Library.
	Medical Care To support health care in Nebraska City.
	Museum To improve and maintain museums in Nebraska City.
	Nancy Hoch Endowment A permanent endowment that provides funds to improve the quality of life in the Nebraska City community.
	PUFF (People United for Families) To support the quality of lives of children and families through the promotion of programs, services and resources in Otoe County.
	RCEDC (River Country Economic Development Corporation) To support economic development in Nebraska City and Otoe County.
	Science Fair General To promote scientific thinking by middle and high school students through a science project competition for southeast Nebraska students.
	Science Fair Scholarship To promote scientific thinking by middle and high school students through a science project competition for southeast Nebraska students with scholarships awarded to students with outstanding projects.
	SEGAS To support a summer softball program and scholarships for youth.
	Skate Park To build and maintain a city-owned skate park for Nebraska City’s youth.
	Table Creek Arts Festival To promote fine arts in the Nebraska City area.
	Unrestricted Endowment A permanent account whose assets are invested to generate an ongoing source of income year after year. Investment earnings from the endowment are used to support community improvements and programs. The Fund Advisory Committee determines how the money generated from the endowment will be used to benefit the community now and in the future.
