The Nebraska Community Foundation works with community, organizational and donor-advised affiliated funds serving more than 250 communities located in 78 counties. NCF and its affiliated funds have reinvested more than $185 million in Nebraska since 1993.
The Atkinson Community Foundation is dedicated to the improvement and long-term viability of the Atkinson community. A permanent endowment fund has been established, through which only the annual earnings are used for projects. As the endowment grows, so will our quality of life for families today and future generations. A volunteer Fund Advisory Committee works actively to increase charitable giving and award grants to worthwhile organizations that are addressing the emerging needs and future opportunities in our community.
The Fund Advisory Committee members are: Lisa Bilstein, Jim Brennan, Nicole Cadwallader, Brent Hooey, Erin Jelinek, Monique Johnson, Adam Ketteler, Dan Kramer, Shannon Olberding, Sandy Schrunk and LouAnn Tooker.

The Atkinson Police Department is equipped to deal with increased drug trafficking on Highway 20, thanks to help from the Atkinson Community Foundation Fund. Within a month the Fund received enough donations to purchase a police dog.
