
The Boone County Area Community Foundation Fund is dedicated to the improvement and long-term viability of our community.
The Boone County Area Community Foundation Fund encourages people from all walks of life to give back to their community by providing a full range of gift opportunities. A volunteer Fund Advisory Committee works actively to increase charitable giving and award grants to worthwhile organizations that are addressing the emerging needs and future opportunities in our area.

As an affiliated fund of the Nebraska Community Foundation, all contributions to the Boone County Area Community Foundation Fund are tax-deductible. The Nebraska Community Foundation is confirmed in compliance with the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations, and has met the nation’s highest philanthropic standards of operational quality, integrity and accountability.

To raise funds to restore and display historic photos in Boone Central High School in Albion, Nebraska. The historic photos are owned by Boone Central Schools in Albion.
An endowment to support the charitable activities of the Boone-Nance Cattlemen, including the granting of scholarships.
An account used by the local Fund Advisory Committee to support and maintain the affiliated fund’s activities within the community.
To provide funds to support the following activities in the Boone County area, in the order of priority as set forth herein
The funds in this account may not be used for the renovation, repair or remodeling of the current swimming pool and library. The Boone County Area Foundation Fund Advisory Committee shall determine the amount to be used in support of each the swimming pool and library and may use the funds in this Account to issue a challenge grant to the community.
To the extent that neither of these projects has been started within five years of the effective date of this Account (December 2010) or there are uncommitted funds remaining in the Account five years following the effective date of this Account, the remaining funds in the Account are to be contributed to the unrestricted endowment account of the Boone County Area Foundation Fund.
An account used by the local Fund Advisory Committee to support and maintain the affiliated fund’s activities within the Petersburg community.
To promote education, training and research opportunities related to renewable energy and environmentally sustainable green building in Boone County, Nebraska.
A permanent account whose assets are invested to generate an ongoing source of income year after year. Investment earnings from the endowment are used to support community improvements and programs. The Fund Advisory Committee determines how the money generated from the endowment will be used to benefit the community now and in the future.
