The Chambers Community Improvement Fund (CCIF) was formed in 1997 by a group of area citizens who were interested in community improvement. Since its inception, the CCIF took on a very successful project to improve the Chambers park. This was our first ever drive for financial support. Much needed restrooms and a new park shelter were built from a buy-a-brick project. We are now in the beginning stages of planning a new Fire Hall/Community Center.
The CCIF provides an opportunity for individuals, like yourself, to give financial support back to the Chambers Community. As a contributor, not only is your support tax-deductible, but you can designate which of our activities you want your contribution to support. You will be helping promote the rich history and progress that is currently being made in the Chambers community. The annual membership ($25/person currently) helps to support the operations of the fund and entitles members to voting privileges in the election of the local Fund Advisory Committee at the annual meeting on the 4th Tuesday in April.
Memorials and honorariums given to the Chambers Community Improvement Fund offers another opportunity to remember or honor a special person or event. This is an excellent way to present a lasting tribute to a loved one, a deceased friend or relative, remember a special occasion, or acknowledge an outstanding achievement. If you would like to make a donation, we have nicely printed cards that can be inserted into a greeting or sympathy card. These memorial or honorarium cards are available at Village Market, Green Acres and Tiny Tot Day Care.
As an affiliated fund of the Nebraska Community Foundation, all contributions to the Chambers Community Improvement Fund are tax-deductible. The Nebraska Community Foundation is confirmed in compliance with the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations, and has met the nation’s highest philanthropic standards of operational quality, integrity and accountability.
