How Can You Be Part of Valley County Health System’s Future?
No one said it better than the ancient Greeks, when they said that we would truly be an uncivilized land if people were to plant no trees. Or equally inhumane, if no one were to plant trees from which only they would benefit….relief from sun, fruit for sustenance, wood for burning or building, beauty for all seasons.
Our civilization is all about investment. Whether planting of a tree, either literally or figuratively, it is an investment in an organization or a community. If you stop and think about it, we each have received “life” from what others have planted. That was a gift they gave to us, because they wanted to leave things better than they found them. We should do no less.
The Valley County Health System Foundation you support was planted through sacrifices and vision of others who knew that they may never themselves enjoy the shade, sustenance or scenery of their labors.
How will you invest in the future of Valley County Health System? Are you willing to help plant the seeds, water them and then know that they will grow, knowing all along that you may never see the fruits of what you have so generously done?
Please help plant and feed the roots of the Valley County Health System Foundation by looking at what you can do. Our hope is that you will feel rewarded by the decision you make. “To plant a tree under which you will never sit; that is true philanthropy.”
Giving Acknowledgements
Donor Wall
The Valley County Health System Foundation Donor Recognition Wall was established to gratefully acknowledge all contributions. Located in the hospital main hallway, adjacent from the Courtyard Grille, the Recognition Wall offers an impressive and fitting tribute to donors who have joined with the hospital’s Foundation to improve the quality of life and health throughout our community.
While the beautiful recognition wall design provides for a permanent tribute to major gift donors, it also allows us to offer acknowledgment of cumulative gifts of all those who generously support the hospital in a variety of ways. The wall bears the names of those who have made one time or cumulative gifts of $1,000 or more. Levels of giving include:
“Friends” $1,000 to $4,999
“Builders” $5,000 to $9,999
“Stewards” $10,000 to $24,999
“Patrons” $25,000 to $49,999
“Benefactors” $50,000 to $99,999
“Humanitarians” $100,000 and up
Humanitarian donors will also receive a beautiful, inscribed solid wood plaque to hang in their home or office in addition to their name on the donor recognition wall.
