On-Demand Training: Two Online Tools to Move Your Mission Forward
Recorded Affiliated Fund Webinar
Web-based and social media present a wonderful opportunity for you and your affiliated fund to connect with donors, potential donors and community leaders. This webinar shares information on how to make the most of your NCF-hosted Web page with photos, announcements, online donations and promotion. It also provides a quick tutorial on creating a Facebook page, sharing valuable tips on maximizing your Facebook page and examples from other affiliated funds.
The entire presentation includes information about what is provided automatically on community-based affiliated fund Web pages as well as several ideas on how to customize the page to make it better fit your community. NCF’s Outreach, Education and Events Manager, Sheri Hink also shares information on Facebook pages for affiliated funds including basic information about Facebook and Facebook pages, tips that apply to any social media presence and information to consider as you start a Facebook page.
Part one of the webinar features the introduction and a discussion of information about affiliated fund Web pages on NCF’s website, ideas on how to customize your page and best practices used by other affiliated funds on their Web pages.
Part two features a “tour” of Facebook and Facebook pages, some basic Facebook education, tips that apply to any social media presence. It also includes a tour of various affiliated fund Facebook pages and one Facebook group. This recording also includes the final question and answer portion of the webinar.

Step 1 - Recruit the expertise you need for your Fund Advisory Committee
Step 2 - Use sub-committees to share the work
Step 3 - Enlist talent and knowledge from people outside your Fund Advisory Committee
Doug Friedli, NCF Director of Community Fund Development – Eastern Nebraska, will showcase affiliated funds using these steps to accomplish their goals. Doug also will share tools to help you with each step. Whether your affiliated fund is new or well established, this webinar will provide great ideas from other affiliated fund leaders on how to share the work to get more done.
This webinar will be offered twice on Wednesday, July 13, once at 12:30pm CT (11:30am MT) and again at 5:30pm CT (4:30pm MT). Each will last up to one hour.

WealthSpring Fund is looking to partner with other affiliated funds to support programs for women’s economic stability
The WealthSpring Fund welcomes partnerships with other NCF affiliated funds in grantmaking within rural communities across the state. WealthSpring, a statewide NCF-affiliated fund, provides grants to organizations that build women’s financial stability, security and self-sufficiency.
The Fund is seeking proposals from non-profit organizations—including other NCF affiliated funds—for programs that support job skills training, financial literacy, entrepreneurship education and work-related child care.
