The Nebraska Community Foundation works with community, organizational and donor-advised affiliated funds serving 250 communities located in 80 counties. NCF and its affiliated funds have reinvested $269 million in Nebraska since 1994.
The Burwell High School track was built in 2005 with 80 percent of the cost covered by private donations through the Calamus Area Community Fund (formerly the Burwell Community Fund). Students from other schools also train at the facility. In 2011 the Fund helped pay for scheduled maintenance and improvements.
