FCC rules requiring broadcast stations to provide free public service announcements have been relaxed over the years. Stations still offer free time, but the competition for this time is stiff, and many stations prefer to “adopt” a few projects and/or organizations over an extended period of time so they can provide the frequency that is required to make the messages stick with their audience.

Al Svajgr has been involved in cattle feeding, ranching, farming and banking in Dawson County, at Cozad, since 1977.
