The Nebraska Community Foundation works with community, organizational and donor-advised affiliated funds serving 250 communities located in 80 counties. NCF and its affiliated funds have reinvested $269 million in Nebraska since 1994.
FCC rules requiring broadcast stations to provide free public service announcements have been relaxed over the years. Stations still offer free time, but the competition for this time is stiff, and many stations prefer to “adopt” a few projects and/or organizations over an extended period of time so they can provide the frequency that is required to make the messages stick with their audience.

Community leaders in northeast Nebraska commissioned an NCF survey of 1,833 students from 15 communities to measure youth perceptions about their community, future education and career plans, and their desire to live in the region in the future.
