Statewide Arboretum
The Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, Inc. is a
member-supported organization dedicated to community development and
environmental stewardship. Our vision, values and aspirations are
summed up in the theme Every Town a Garden, which declares
commitment to the greening of every community in the state, making each a
more attractive, healthy, vital place to live and work. NSA operates
in partnership with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Institute of
Agriculture and Natural Resources. NSA programs benefit towns and neighborhoods all
across Nebraska. Our network of arboretums and public gardens
beautify and enrich 50 host communities. Our nationally-recognized
outreach programs provide funding (over $7 million in grants to date) and
technical assistance for public landscaping projects involving parks,
schools, libraries, hospitals, business districts and other places
important to community life. The nearly 250 communities we have
served range from rural villages to major metropolitan areas. Our
GreatPlants™ Program promotes plains-hardy plants and water-conserving
horticultural practices. Last year nearly one-thousand members paid
annual dues to NSA to support these and other programs. Tax-deductible donations to the Nebraska Statewide
Arboretum Fund can be directed to one of three options: Endowment: An endowment that
