Nebraska City
The Nebraska City Community Foundation started its NCF affiliated fund in 2000. In its first five years it raised and granted over $1 million to 21 community projects. In 2005 fund leaders began planning for a permanent unrestricted endowment.
Harold and Marilyn Rink of Pender, Nebraska made a challenge gift with the contribution of seven antique tractors. The tractors were sold by the Nebraska Community Foundation, for the benefit of its affiliated fund the Pender-Thurston Community Foundation.
