Youth Engagement Specialist
As the Youth Engagement Specialist, Chloe Higgins seeks to champion the voices of Greater Nebraska’s greatest asset: Young people. This includes supporting programs such as Hometown Interns, Youth Surveys, Youth Engagement Grants, and Connecting Young Nebraskans.
Chloe is a beneficiary of NCF’s investment in young people, starting with a Youth Philanthropy Grant from the Nebraska City affiliated fund in seventh grade. She served as the inaugural Hometown Intern in 2019 and the Hometown Intern Coordinator (Now Youth Engagement Intern) in 2020.
Chloe graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Business in 2022 with a major in economics, and she is currently enrolled in UNL’s Rural Economic and Community Vitality Certificate. Prior to joining NCF, she served as the Workforce Development Coordinator at the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development.
Though Nebraska City will always be her hometown, Chloe currently resides in Lincoln. She serves as the Chapter Advisor for Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and formerly on the Fund Advisory Committee of Connecting Young Nebraskans.
