Dena Beck

Affiliated Fund Development Coordinator

Dena works from her home office north of Minden, Nebraska, providing technical assistance to the NCF affiliated funds in south central Nebraska.

Prior to joining NCF in 2018, Dena served as Senior Project Leader and Business Specialist with the Center for Rural Affairs’ REAP program where she served small businesses in rural communities. She is a “returner” 10 years after graduating from Minden High School, moved back to her hometown where she managed the Minden Chamber of Commerce and helped give life to the Kearney County Economic Development Agency.

Dena graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Horticultural Therapy from Kansas State University and a master’s degree in Organizational Management with minors in entrepreneurship and economic development from Peru State College. Dena also holds a certificate in Community Development Finance from the University of New Hampshire’s Carsey School of Public Policy.

She and her husband, David, also a Minden High School graduate and emergency room RN, live on a “ranchette” north of Minden with Great Pyrenees and Irish Wolfhound dogs, cats, goats, chickens, llamas, and cows. They have two daughters, Chloe and Sloane.
