Manager of Public Private Partnerships and Senior Advisor
Diane joined Nebraska Community Foundation in July 2006 and served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for more than nine years. She continues to work on a part-time basis as Manager of Public-Private Partnerships and Senior Advisor. In these roles, Diane serves as a key liaison with several NCF public/private partnership funds, including the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program Fund, and performs special projects.
Diane has over 30 years of experience in finance and tax and advised tax-exempt organizations throughout her career. Prior to joining NCF, Diane was the Vice President – Taxes for a New York Stock Exchange-traded real estate investment trust (REIT). Diane spent 17 years in public accounting at Arthur Andersen LLP and Grant Thornton LLP and was a tax partner at both firms.
Diane has a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Iowa. She received her M.B.A. from the John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
Diane is a native of New London, Iowa and lived in Colorado, California, and New Mexico before returning to the Midwest when she joined NCF. She and her wife, Kay Richter, live in Lincoln.
