Associate Affiliated Fund Development Coordinator
Jill Grovijohn serves as the Associate Affiliated Fund Development Coordinator for communities across northeast Nebraska. In her role, she works alongside Co-Director of Network Learning and Affiliated Fund Development Coordinator Maggie Smith to connect affiliated funds with resources that strengthen communities and create lasting local impact.
Raised in Howells, Nebraska, Jill is passionate about helping rural communities build a vibrant future through asset-based community development, community awareness, and youth engagement. She graduated from Wayne State College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with emphases in marketing and management.
During her time at Wayne State, Jill was a member of the Growing Together Career Scholars Program, which focuses on retaining talented young professionals in Nebraska. She was introduced to the Nebraska Community Foundation while serving as a Hometown Intern with the Howells Community Fund during the summers of 2022 and 2023. The passion for rural Nebraska she developed in that role led her to the Growing Small Town Nebraska Podcast where she serves as an assistant to host Sheila Jenkinson. Following graduation, Jill worked as the Fundraising and Public Relations Manager for the Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska in Norfolk.
Jill now lives in Norfolk, Nebraska, with her partner, Cody, and their adorable – but mischievous – long-haired dachshund, Toby. When she’s not keeping Toby out of trouble, Jill enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending concerts, and exploring the outdoors.
