Director of Advancement and Gift Planning
Jim helps donors experience the joy of giving while making a difference to the people, places and charitable organizations that are important to them. He works closely with professional advisors and their clients to help implement charitable gift plans that make the greatest impact.
Jim has been involved in various areas of financial and charitable estate planning for his entire career. He oversees Nebraska Community Foundation’s advancement and gift planning programs and projects benefitting affiliated funds serving more than 250 communities in Nebraska. Jim has guided the growth of the Foundation’s expectancies to over $66 million.
Jim consults, trains and speaks regularly on charitable gift planning, community development and fundraising. He has been a speaker at the various community led workshops across Nebraska, the National Philanthropic Planning Conference, Nebraska’s Give and Gain Conference and various Nebraska Bar Association events. He is the past-president of the Charitable Gift Planners of Nebraska and is the recipient of the J. Robert Sandberg Award in recognition of service to the gift planning profession.
Jim and his wife, Terri, enjoy being grandparents. Jim grew up in Ralston, Nebraska and his wife is a native of Burwell, Nebraska.
