The Brown County Community Foundation Fund is dedicated to progress and long-term prosperity. A volunteer Fund Advisory Committee works actively to increase charitable giving and award grants to local worthy causes and projects that are addressing emerging needs and future opportunities in our community.

Mission

Facilitate partnerships with other entities and enhance the quality of life in Brown County.
Inspire our citizens through education, example, and with an invitation to give back to the county we call home.
Impact our community through collaboration and by awarding grants.

Vision

Brown County provides full-circle health care for youth to elderly, providing recreational opportunities, supporting its infrastructure, encouraging youth involvement through action, all in an effort at making this county a desired place to live work, and prosper.

  • Unrestricted Endowment

    A permanent account whose assets are invested to generate an ongoing source of income year after year. Investment earnings from the endowment are used to support community improvements and programs. The Fund Advisory Committee determines how the money generated from the endowment will be used to benefit the community now and in the future.

  • Larry Rice Service Scholarship Account

    A scholarship which honors individuals dedicated to serving others and their community. Larry Rice viewed his broadcast license as "a license to serve" the Ainsworth community. His commitment was demonstrated through his broadcasting of youth and community events, and his involvement on various boards to effectively bring people together. Individuals interested in a career of broadcasting, journalism or community development are encouraged to apply.
