A volunteer Fund Advisory Committee works actively to increase charitable giving and award grants to local worthy causes and projects that are addressing emerging needs and future opportunities in our community.

  • *Titan Beef and Local Foods Program Account

    The specific purpose of this account is to assist with support for Thayer Central Community Schools’ local food and nutrition program, including but not limited to processing costs related to locally donated meats, nutrition education, and costs to support other locally grown and produced food.

  • Baden Vocational Scholarship Term Endowment

    This account is a term endowment for the purpose of granting scholarships to residents of the Thayer Central Community School District or its successor. Scholarships shall be awarded to individuals attending a community college or vocational school to pursue education in a trade. Scholarships may be renewable, if recipient is in good academic standing and reapplies for the scholarship. Preference may be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need.

  • Dr. Ed Panter Scholarship

    An endowed account to provide scholarships for graduating high school students from Hebron and other communities in Thayer County.

  • ELSA Scholarship Account

    This account is a permanent endowment for the purpose of granting scholarships for post-secondary education to residents of the Hebron, Nebraska area. Scholarships shall be granted in accordance with the following criteria:
    - Recipients shall be planning to attend an accredited, non-proprietary community college or degree-granting college or university to pursue a bachelor’s or associate’s degree or a certificate program.
    - Preference shall be given to non-traditional students (those pursuing post-secondary education after a break in their academic career), but students moving directly from high school to college are eligible as well.
    - Financial need shall be a major consideration, but effort and academic success should also be considered.
    - Scholarships may be used for tuition, fees, room, board, books, or other costs of attendance that are required by the institution.
    - Recipients shall be eligible to reapply for the scholarship in subsequent years.

  • General

    An account used by the local Fund Advisory Committee to support and maintain the affiliated fund’s activities within the community.

  • Hebron High School Alumni

    To provide funds from the alumni of Hebron High School in support of the school and students.

  • Hebron Secrest Library Operations Endowment

    An endowed account whose assets are invested to generate an ongoing source of income year after year to support the operations of the Hebron Secrest Public Library.

  • Kenneth and Glenn Korff Endowment Account

    This endowment account is for the unrestricted use for hospitals, parks, library, summer programs, scholarships, leadership development, economic development efforts, or such other activities as determined by the Fund Advisory Committee for the exclusive benefit of the citizens and community of Hebron, Nebraska.

  • Kenneth P. and Glenn H. Korff Scholarship Endowment Account

    This account is a permanent endowment for the purpose of granting scholarships to graduates of Thayer Central Community Schools or its successor. Scholarships shall be awarded to individuals who demonstrate the following characteristics:
    • High academic standing in high school
    • Participation in school and community activities
    • Solid work ethic and commitment to succeed
    • Financial need
    • Preference shall be given to students who plan to complete a bachelor's degree rather than a certificate program

    To provide support for the Hebron Secrest Public Library for the purchase of books, materials, technology and equipment

  • Roosevelt Park Playground Account

    The purpose of this account is to help raise funds to support the purchase and installation of updated playground equipment in Roosevelt Park.

  • Thayer Central Community Schools Technology Endowment

    To create a permanent endowment whose earnings will provide funding for the information technology needs of the Thayer Central Community Schools.

    To provide scholarships for residents of Hebron and Thayer County.
