The Hickman Area Community Foundation Fund is dedicated to progress and long-term prosperity. A volunteer Fund Advisory Committee works actively to increase charitable giving and award grants to local worthy causes and projects that are addressing emerging needs and future opportunities in our community.

Accessible Playground and Park Account
Help raise funds to support an adaptive playground and park equipment. The intention is to create a sensory-rich environment that is physically and socially supportive for children of all abilities at city or community-owned parks within the greater Hickman, Nebraska area. Funds may be used for the purchase, installation, and maintenance of play equipment, features and structures, development of inclusive play activities, improvement of accessibility to play areas, and other expenses associated with design and installation.

Community Beautification
To improve the visual appeal of the community with enhancements such as street plantings on public property.

An account used by the local Fund Advisory Committee to support and maintain the affiliated fund’s activities within the community.

Parks Improvements Account
An account is to raise funds for improvements to the city-owned parks of Hickman, Nebraska and for maintenance of park improvement projects. Disbursement of funds from this Account will be made only to the City of Hickman. Projects may include a skate park.

Unrestricted Endowment
A permanent account whose assets are invested to generate an ongoing source of income year after year. Investment earnings from the endowment are used to support community improvements and programs. The Fund Advisory Committee determines how the money generated from the endowment will be used to benefit the community now and in the future.
