The mission of the Keith County Foundation Fund is to enrich the quality of life in our county-wide community by: providing a means for citizens to give something back to the community they love; supporting and strengthening local nonprofit organizations; identifying needs and making grants in areas of human services, education, environment, art, culture, recreation and civic improvements; participating in partnerships with other community groups in the county; and building an endowment to help meet future community needs for generations to come.

    A permanent account whose assets are invested to generate an ongoing source of income year after year. Investment earnings from the endowment are used to support community improvements and programs. The Fund Advisory Committee determines how the money generated from the endowment will be used to benefit the community now and in the future.

    This account is a term endowment to support charitable organizations and activities in Keith County, Nebraska.

  • Berryman Education Account

    An account to provide scholarships for post-secondary education as determined by the Affiliated Fund Advisory Committee in accordance with Nebraska Community Foundation scholarship administration policy. Applicants must meet the following criteria; other criteria may be established by the Fund Advisory Committee from time to time based on community needs and priorities:
    - Must reside in Keith County
    - Be either a non-traditional student pursing post-secondary education following a break in his/her education or a traditional student continuing directly from high school to post-secondary education
    - Use the scholarship to attend a public accredited community college or an accredited degree-granting college or university to pursue a continuing education course, a degree or a certificate program

  • Brule Cemetery

    To support the charitable purposes of the Brule Cemetery.

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes

    To provide funds to promote educational and training activities for youth.

  • General

    An account used by the local Fund Advisory Committee to support and maintain the affiliated fund’s activities within the community.

  • Goodall Recreation Center

    To provide funds to improve and maintain the Goodall Recreation Center.

  • Hermance Scholarship

    The specific purpose of this account is to provide scholarships to students in Keith County for post-secondary education. The FAC may establish scholarship amounts and additional criteria for selection of scholarship recipients to the extent the additional criteria conforms to IRS rules and NCF policies for scholarships. Scholarship recipients shall be selected by the Scholarship Selection Committee of Fund.

  • Holzfaster Board Endowment

    To establish a permanent endowment for the benefit of the advancement and promotion of the Keith County Community Foundation Fund. Preference shall be given to support strategies to educate the public and professional advisors about the benefits of making gifts to the Foundation Fund, to promote the activities of the Foundation Fund, including advertising and public meetings, and to support the training of the Fund Advisory Committee members.

  • Ogallala Children’s Library Account

    To provide support to the Goodall City Library located in Ogallala, Nebraska, for the benefit of the Ogallala Children’s Library and youth reading programs.

  • Ogallala Library Endowment

    An endowment to provide funds to support the activities of the Ogallala Public Library above and beyond the normal operation and maintenance expected to be provided by the City.

  • Ogallala Library General

    To provide funds to support the activities of the Ogallala Public Library above and beyond the normal operation and maintenance expected to be provided by the City.

  • Ogallala Regional Arts Council

    A permanent endowment that provides funds to support the Ogallala Regional Arts Council, a 501(c)(3) organization.

  • Paxton Library Endowment

    A permanent endowment that provides funds to support the Paxton Public Library.
