The Nebraska Cattlemen Research & Education Foundation Fund was established to build endowments to support the Nebraska Cattlemen Research and Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. The mission of the Nebraska Cattlemen Research and Education Foundation is to raise and provide funds for educational and scientific activities that benefit beef cattle production in Nebraska.

  • Alliance Cattle Capital

    To provide scholarships to high school seniors from the Alliance Cattle Capital area seeking secondary education.

  • Andy Bruntz Memorial Endowment

    To provide an annual grant to the Andy Bruntz Beef Industry Scholars Scholarship in the College of Ag Sciences and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.

  • Beef Pit Scholarship Endowment

    To provide scholarships and educational funds to a junior or senior undergraduate or a graduate student enrolled full time in a Nebraska college or university who is studying meat and/or food science.

  • Beef State Endowed Scholarship Account

    An account to provide scholarships in a significant amount to outstanding junior, senior or graduate level students. Eligible students must be residents of Nebraska and be enrolled in a Nebraska college or university pursuing a beef industry related degree.

  • Bill Briggs Family Memorial Scholarship Account

    An account to provide an annual scholarship to a junior or senior level student enrolled at a Nebraska college or university majoring in a beef industry related field and preparing for a career in the beef industry.

    To provide scholarships and educational funds to graduating high school seniors or continuing college students with preference given to students with beef industry involvement.

  • Bill Pullen Endowed Scholarship Account

    An account to provide scholarships for students at a junior or senior level at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Scholarship recipients shall be majoring in an agriculture field and preparing for a career in agriculture.

  • Cattlemen’s Open Scholarship Account

    To provide funding for scholarships to be managed and administered by the Nebraska Cattlemen Research and Education Foundation Fund.

  • Clarence & Lois Jean Hartmann Endowed Scholarship Account

    An endowed account to provide funding for scholarships to students preparing for a career in agriculture. Qualified applicants must be graduates of Nebraska high schools or undergraduate or graduate students attending a two or four-year college or university in Nebraska.

  • Col. Melvin Huss Memorial Scholarship Account

    An endowed account to provide funding for scholarships for undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Scholarship recipients shall be students majoring in Animal Science and preparing for a career in agriculture. Preference will be given to applicants whose course of study focuses on beef production.

  • Dr. Jeff Fox Memorial Scholarship Endowment Account

    This account is a permanent endowment for the purpose of establishing an endowed scholarship to memorialize Dr. Jeff Fox. Scholarships to be granted from this Account shall be given to individuals attending the University of Nebraska, Iowa State University, or Kansas State University who are either (1) junior or senior undergraduate students majoring in Beef Production, Animal Science with beef emphasis, Feedlot Management or (2) graduate students enrolled in Veterinary Science programs.

    To provide scholarships and educational funds to graduating high school seniors or continuing college students with preference given to students with beef industry involvement.

  • Jim and Helen Gran Scholarship Account

    This account is to provide an annual scholarship to a sophomore level student enrolled at the Nebraska College of Curtis, Nebraska, majoring in an area of production agriculture and preparing for a career in production agriculture.

    An endowed account to provide support to the Livestock Evaluation Team at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

  • Leadership

    An endowed account that provides support for youth and adult leadership development, emphasizing development of existing and emerging leaders involved in Nebraska Cattlemen.

  • Martin Viersen Range Management/Conservation Scholarship Endowment

    To provide scholarships for individuals pursuing post-secondary education at a Nebraska educational institution majoring in range management. This scholarship may be awarded to graduate level students or junior or senior level undergraduates with priority given to graduate level students.

  • Nebraska Beef Industry Endowment

    To raise charitable dollars to support beef industry-related research and/or teaching positions at Nebraska post-secondary educational institutions.

    An endowed fund that provides educational grants to Junior Hereford Association members.

  • Robert E Lute II Memorial Scholarship Endowment

    To provide scholarships and educational funds to graduating high school seniors or continuing college students with preference given to students with beef industry involvement.

  • Ron & Shirley Huss Endowed Scholarship Account

    An endowed account to provide funding for scholarships for undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Scholarship recipients shall be students majoring in Animal Science and preparing for a career in agriculture. Preference will be given to applicants whose course of study focuses on beef production.

  • Shari Flaming Memorial Scholarship

    This Account is a permanent endowment in memory of Shari Flaming, a long-time cattle feeder, rancher, teacher, fabulous cook, and agriculture advocate from Paxton, Nebraska. The purpose of the Account is to annually grant scholarships of at least $1,000 to recipients who meet the following criteria:
    - Resident of Nebraska
    - Majoring in animal science, feedlot management, and/or range management;
    - Actively involved in student organizations related to their field of study;
    - Be a junior or senior in college with strong character and leadership skills;
    - Have at least a 3.3 (on a 4-point scale) cumulative college GPA; and
    - Preference will be given to individuals with cattle industry involvement

  • Todd Ricenbaw Memorial Scholarship Account

    An account to provide an annual scholarship to a student enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln pursuing an agricultural related degree.

  • Vance Uden Memorial Scholarship Account

    To provide funding for scholarships for students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (University). Scholarship recipients shall be members of the University’s Senior Livestock Evaluation Team, with preference given to students majoring in Animal Science and preparing for a career in agriculture.

  • West Central Scholarship

    An endowed fund that provides scholarships to graduating seniors and/or undergraduates that are from the Nebraska Cattlemen West Central Affiliates area and are studying agriculture.

  • Western Nebraska AG Scholarship Endowment Account

    This account is a permanent endowment for the purpose of granting scholarships for post-secondary education to individuals who reside in the Mountain Time Zone in Nebraska. Scholarships shall be granted in accordance with the following criteria:
    - Recipients shall be planning to attend an accredited, nonproprietary community college or degree-granting college or university located in Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, or South Dakota to pursue a bachelor’s or associate’s degree or a certificate program.
    - Recipients must major in an agriculture-related field.
    - Preference shall be given to applicants planning to attend a community college, Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, or Chadron State College.

  • Yoachim Scholarship

    An endowed scholarship account established in memorial of Donavan Yoachim, a farmer/stockman from the Hebron area, who was instrumental in establishing the Nebraska Beef Pit at State Fair Park in Lincoln. This fund provides scholarships to graduating seniors and undergraduates emphasizing agriculture in their college studies.

  • Beef Pit/Meats Judging Team Account

    This is a quasi-endowment to support the Meats Judging Team of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
