The Stuart Community Foundation Fund is dedicated to progress and long-term prosperity. A volunteer Fund Advisory Committee works actively to increase charitable giving and award grants to local worthy causes and projects that are addressing emerging needs and future opportunities in our community.

  • * Unrestricted Endowment

    A permanent account whose assets are invested to generate an ongoing source of income year after year. Investment earnings from the endowment are used to support community improvements and programs. The Fund Advisory Committee determines how the money generated from the endowment will be used to benefit the community now and in the future.

  • Alan Brewster MD Medical Scholarship

    This endowed account in memory of Alan Brewster, M.D. provides scholarships to local students pursuing medical careers.

  • Charles G Skopec Scholarship

    This endowed account in memory of Charles G. Skopec provides scholarships to graduating seniors from Stuart High School or West Holt High School who will pursue an undergraduate degree in science (including medicine).

  • Cristina Kaup Memorial Scholarship

    To provide scholarships to graduating seniors from Stuart Public High School in memory of Cristina Kaup. Scholarships are intended for students involved in the mock trial and/or fine arts programs at Stuart Public High School.

  • Early Childhood Education Facility Planning Account

    The purpose of this account is to help raise funds to support feasibility studies and/or design activities to determine the viability of refurbishing an existing building or constructing a new building for an early childhood education facility in Stuart, Nebraska.

  • Geraldine B Skopec Scholarship

    This endowed account in memory of Geraldine B. Skopec provides scholarships to graduating seniors from Stuart High School or West Holt High School who will pursue an undergraduate degree in teacher education.

  • Medical Clinic Account

    An account to raise funds to help support a capital project to construct a new Medical Clinic owned by the City of Stuart, Nebraska.

  • Murphy Youth Center

    The Murphy building was generously donated by Clement & Mary Murphy and family. The family’s dream focused on providing area youth a special place to grow and prosper. Funds are being raised to convert the building into a movie theater and media /technology center.

  • Splash Pad Account

    An account to help support the construction of a splash pad in Stuart, Nebraska. The splash pad will be owned and maintained by the Village of Stuart.

  • St. Boniface School/Cemetery

    A permanent endowment to support the charitable purposes of the St. Boniface Cemetery and to support the St. Boniface school and students.

  • Stuart High School Scholarship

    To provide college scholarships to Stuart High School graduates.

  • Stuart Public Schools Education/Activities

    To support the academic and non-curricular programs of Stuart Public Schools to enhance the students’ experience beyond what can be supported by the taxpayers.

  • White Horse Museum

    An account to support the White Horse Museum. Many items in the museum came from the historic White Horse Ranch. Antiques have been donated by residents of Stuart and surrounding communities.
