What projects are you working on this summer with your affiliated fund?
This summer I will be working on the Fund’s social media and website, helping with youth philanthropy efforts, researching a Big Give event, building a mailing list, assisting with the Diller Picnic, and working on the local museum archives.

Why did you want to take this opportunity to participate in this internship?
I wanted to participate in this internship so that I have a chance to voice my opinion and participate more in my community. I want to be a part of this community and help it continue to grow, and along the way, learn life-time skills and knowledge.

How would you describe the experience so far?
I just started this week, and my experience has been good so far. It is clear what needs to be done, and there are good main points to work on to keep me busy.

What do you appreciate most about your community?
My community is tight-knit and always focused on bettering each other and the people around them. My community is very welcoming and offers a lot of opportunities.

What excites you the most when you think about the future of your community?
I am excited about all of the projects we are working on this summer. I am eager to see how far this community goes, and I think they will bring a lot more people to the town through their hard work on projects.

What are you looking for in a place to call home?
I am looking for a place that has many resources available to me, and opportunities for everybody. I like a tight-knit community where I feel safe and can have a conversation with anybody.
