New York Times columnist David Brooks and colleagues from the Aspen Institute have rescheduled their visit to Greater Nebraska for the week of March 18!
Brooks and team will visit a number of Greater Nebraska communities and meet with volunteers in the Nebraska Community Foundation network to learn what community building and “weaving” looks like in a Nebraska context in furtherance of Weave: The Social Fabric Project.
During their time in Nebraska, Brooks and his team will engage in a listening tour which will include one-on-one interviews and community tours. Nebraska Community Foundation was approached by the Aspen Institute for its strong relationships and connections with community builders and “weavers” across the state. NCF is recognized nationally and internationally for its community development work, founded on the principles of asset based community development (ABCD).
All are invited to join us virtually as Brooks delivers a talk to the McCook Rotary chapter on Tuesday, March 19 at 12:20 p.m./CT.
